English language component forms a crucial part of the students' required courses at the PPU. Hence the university administration gives remarkable attention to develop the students' proficiency in English language in particular and other languages in general.

    The university administration believes that English as a language of science and technology, and the language of international communication, can be of great help to our students. High command of English language is an excellent asset for our graduates to get a good job or a scholarship for graduate studies.

   According to the current university plans, every student should have, at least, 9 credit hours of English as a university requirement. However , students who fail the placement test should have six more credit hours in average in form of intensive courses.

   The university administration has already decided to establish Language Center since the academic year 2007/2008 so as to emphasize the great value and importance of teaching languages at the university.

  The main mission of the Language Center is to develop and upgrade the students' proficiency in languages in general and English language in particular. The center is working on various activities that involve the participation of students as well as instructors to achieve its goals.
