The Radio/TV Labs are designed to reinforce many of the principles
relating to radio and TV telecommunication. They are also designed to help the student
gain familiarity with measurement techniques and equipment use in addition to basic
maintenance and error detection skills.
All of
the lab stations are brand new and fully featured to serve the purposes of the Labs.
The Lab Includes a five DL2402 Delorenzo TV trainer stations, in addition to a three
M510/EV Electronica Veneta radio trainer stations.
Much of the equipment that the student will use is commonly used in local market,
and the skills learned in this lab are essential to student’s future work.
An understanding
of every piece of equipment and how it works manually is crucial in this course.
The basic purposes of this lab are summarized as follows:
1. To enhance and validate the understanding and proper use
of Radio and TV receivers
.
2. To introduce
the student to basic measurement techniques related to AM, FM and TV signals.
3. To introduce the student to the practice of maintenance
and setup of Radio and TV sets.
4. To educate the student to analyze data and to express results
through informal reports.
