English Proficiency Test

The CAS prepares and supervises tests to identify the students' proficiency level in English, which is the primary language of instruction at PPU.

TOEFL

TOEFL is Test of English as a Foreign Language. It measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English in the four skills; listening, reading, speaking and writing. It is required by all American and Canadian universities. TOEFL scores are accepted by more than 6,000 universities and licensed agencies in more than 110 countries.

Palestine Polytechnic University was one of the first Palestinian academic institutions that has got a license from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to host an international TOEFL center; that was in 1985. Moreover, PPU was the first institution in Palestine to host the new generation of TOEFL (IBT) in 2006. The number of our center is STN10270. It is located in Fawzi Kawash IT Center in the university campus of Abu Rumman.
