General Chemistry Lab, established in 2017, is one of the laboratories within the College of Applied Sciences affiliated with the Applied Chemistry program. It has a capacity for 15 students and is equipped with modern tools and devices essential for imparting various practical skills and abilities to students.
The laboratory aims to teach students the fundamental skills and techniques essential for conducting experiments in chemistry laboratories. These encompass measuring volumes, masses, and temperatures accurately, along with calibration and filtration procedures. Additionally, students will become proficient in utilizing various devices such as ovens, other heating apparatus, and instruments for quantifying heat.
Moreover, students will receive training in adhering to stringent laboratory safety protocols and mastering the calculations requisite for the experiments they undertake.
- First-year students of the College of Applied Sciences majoring in Chemistry, Biology, and Applied Physics.
- First-year students of the College of Engineering, with majors in medical device engineering and environmental engineering in the fourth year.
